Recordings
Every live is recorded and kept in Videos, ready to share or play on a 24/7 channel. Nothing to set up.
Find a recording
Open the stream. Under Past lives, each live is listed when it ends. Choose Open in library to watch, share or rename it.
Turn recording on or off
Each stream has Record every live. What new streams start with is set in Settings, under Streaming, where you can also choose how recorded lives are named.
Copy every recording to your storage
Keep a copy of each live in your own bucket: Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, MinIO or any S3-compatible storage.
-
Make a bucket and a key
In your storage provider, make a bucket and an access key that may write to it. Note the endpoint address, the bucket name, the access key ID and its secret.
-
Fill them in
In creekX, open Settings, then Recordings to storage. Paste the endpoint, bucket, region, access key ID and secret. Optionally, a folder in the bucket.
-
Test, then save
Choose Test: creekX writes a small file and deletes it. When it says "It works", choose Save. Every live's recording is copied there from now on, and Latest copies shows how each went.
Stop copying forgets the bucket and key. What is already in the bucket stays there.
