Open-source software in CreekX

CreekX's installer puts these programs on your server beside CreekX. Each keeps its own licence, which governs that program; CreekX runs them as separate programs and links none of them into its own code. The JavaScript libraries built into CreekX itself are listed with their licences in app/*.LEGAL.txt in every release.

FFmpeg: licence and source code

CreekX installs a static build of FFmpeg 8.1 for 64-bit Linux, from the BtbN/FFmpeg-Builds project (the Linux builds linked from ffmpeg.org). It is configured with --enable-gpl --enable-version3, so it is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. It contains no non-free components.

Written offer. For at least three years after we last distribute a given CreekX release, we will give anyone who asks a copy of the complete corresponding source code of the FFmpeg build it includes, on a medium customarily used for software interchange, for no more than our cost of providing it. Write to [email protected], naming the CreekX release.

If the FFmpeg build cannot be downloaded during installation, the installer uses Ubuntu's own ffmpeg package instead (GPL 2 or later); its notices and source are available from Ubuntu as for any Ubuntu package (/usr/share/doc/ffmpeg/copyright).
