Adaptive bitrate streaming
With several qualities on, creekX makes 720p, 480p and 360p copies of a live stream, and HLS players move between them with each viewer's connection. Without it, viewers get the stream exactly as it arrives: no transcoding, almost no CPU.

What it costs
| Lives with qualities | CPU on a 4 vCPU server |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.6 cores (16%) |
| 3 | 1.9 cores (48%) |
| 5 | 3.1 cores (78%) |
About 0.6 of a core per 1080p live. Size servers with the pricing calculator.
WebRTC viewers
Real-time viewers receive the stream as it arrives. For viewers on weak connections, use HLS with several qualities, or send a lower bitrate from the encoder.
