Install CreekX
A few minutes on your own server. Your 14-day free trial starts when it finishes.
-
Get a server
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, 64-bit. To try it: 2 processor cores, 8 GB of memory and 100 GB of disk. Any provider works.
Have a domain? Point it at the server first (an A record with the server's address), so CreekX can set up https.
-
Install with one command
Connect to the server with SSH and paste this:
curl -fsSL https://creekx.io/get.sh | sudo bashIt downloads CreekX, checks the download is not damaged, and installs everything. It asks for your email, your domain (press Enter to skip) and the owner's password, then prints the address to open. No domain yet? Add one later with
sudo creekx domainand the name.Prefer to do it by hand? Download CreekX, copy it to the server, then run
tar -xzf creekx-linux-x64.tar.gzandsudo ./perpetua-*/install.sh. -
Sign in and go live
Open the address, sign in, and choose New stream. Everything works during the trial, for up to 5 channels.
Ports to open
In your provider's firewall, if it has one.
| Port | For |
|---|---|
| 80, 443 (TCP) | The app |
| 1935 (TCP) | OBS and streaming apps |
| 8890 (UDP) | SRT encoders |
| 8189 (UDP, TCP) | Going live from a browser |
| 9100–9199 (UDP) | Encoders sending MPEG-TS over UDP |
A server without internet
Ask for the offline bundle. It carries everything the installer needs, checks every file before using it, and asks nothing of the network. The README inside says how.
When the trial ends
Nothing is deleted and nothing on air stops. Copy the Installation ID from More → Licence, send it with your order, and add the licence file you receive. It works at once.
