CreekX -- your videos, live 24/7, on your own server.

INSTALL (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, 4 GB memory or more; 8 GB recommended)

  tar -xzf perpetua-VERSION-linux-x64.tar.gz
  sudo ./perpetua-VERSION/install.sh --domain live.example.com --email you@example.com

Point the domain at this server first (an "A" record); it gets https by itself.
Without a domain, leave --domain out: the app then runs over http, and going live
from a browser waits until you add one.

The installer asks for the owner's password, then prints the address to open.
Your 14-day free trial starts when it finishes.

LOOK AFTER IT

sudo creekx status running? which version? the licence and the trial
sudo creekx logs what it has been saying
sudo creekx backup database, configuration and licence -- copy it off the server
sudo creekx backup-offsite nightly backups, ENCRYPTED, to your own S3-compatible bucket
sudo creekx restore-offsite NAME bring one of those back (keep the passphrase safe!)
sudo creekx licence FILE add the licence file you were sent
sudo creekx email send email ("forgot your password") through your mail account
sudo creekx upgrade FILE install a newer release; it goes back by itself if it fails

PORTS (open them in your provider's firewall too, if it has one)

1935 (tcp) OBS and streaming apps (RTMP)
